Possession Sales and Transportation

Defendant was driving across the border into the US from Mexico. A customs dog alerted to her car and she was sent to secondary inspection. Defendant found with several pounds of marijuana in her trunk.

Defense investigation determined that Defendant was doing a friend a favor by picking up the car that was being fixed in Tijuana. This “friend” had convictions for drugs and was using Defendant because she had no record and a valid driver’s license.

Rich was able to take this evidence to the DA and convince him it was true. The case was negotiated reduction to misdemeanor and diversion
