First Degree Murder - Gang

Defendant drove his co-defendant to rival gang territory. Their goal was to exact revenge on the rival gang for injuring one of their friends. Defendant pulled his vehicle next to victim’s home, and angled it so co-defendant could shoot and use the door for cover. Victim was shot multiple times and seriously wounded. After victim was shot, defendant fled back to his home. A short while later, defendant and co-defendant confront a second victim and a fight ensues. Defendant and co-defendant pursue the victim and when close enough, shoot victim to death.

His exposure was 45 – life. Rich negotiated a voluntary manslaughter plea bargain.
